Update on Poem-a-Day
Hello friends,
You may have noticed that I haven’t posted a poem-a-day in awhile. I kind of ran out of poems, it seems. For those of you who were still paying, I want to thank you, and apologize. I do intend to start posting work again soon. An attempt towards that goal below. But I may have to change the title of this Substack to “Poem-a-Fortnight.” If you’d still like to support this project, I do appreciate it, but I completely understand if you choose not to.
Wishing you all well wherever and however this finds you,
Austin
Fields
Love: to plant oneself
Deep in the loam of another
And to be planted
Full of them.
Your hearts fields
In which the other grows.
But the heart is bottomland.
You better both
Be sure.
