Isn’t it strange how
Men from the Midwest 
Who were never able to 
Tell their fathers 
They loved them
And whose fathers never 
Once told them 
They loved them 
Can say without embarrassment
That they love him?
They believe that 
They love him, 
Though in truth 
They just want to 
Love any man.
So these men who 
All their lives have had 
So much love to give 
But no man to 
Give it to give it to 
Him who not only
Doesn’t love them 
But hates them because 
He needs them 
And we hate
What we need.
