The Tsunami
Before the tsunami
The sea sucked out
Revealing temples
Never before seen
Astonished
The villagers walked out
To see them
While the fishermen
Knowing the sea
Would be back
Shouted from shore
But it was as if
They were hypnotized
Ducking in through walls
Encrusted with barnacles
To innermost sanctums
Where the old gods were
Shapeless under coral
Even then the marbled wall
Of water was rising
Like those who
Feeling unloved in life
Take their lives
Disappearing only
To come back
And overwhelm the living
And make them feel
The pain they were in
And all at once
Ooof. That hit
