The Eucharist

It seems that cannibalism is forgivable
If by eating the body one is forgiven,
And it seems that it is acceptable 
To slake one’s thirst with a sip of blood
If the blood is the blood of the savior,
But nor is it surprising that the boy given
First communion finds it hard to swallow.
