Now and Here

Everything is so contemporary
These days, even the past. This statue is
Here as well as back then when it was carved
And stands for all of the time in between.
And nobody seems to want to go home
Anymore due to the sufficiency
Of where they are. So it isn’t just that
Everything is contemporary but
That everything is very, very close.
Now and here is when and where we are but
Never together.
