Men sing together some high some low.
Men close their eyes better to remember the constellations.
Men live alone with women.
Men go to war or the store.
Men swear they didn’t do what they did.
Men read the same book some skip to the end.
Men fill out their brackets extravagantly.
Men listen through the door.
Men think they’ve lost everything but then find some.
Men try to skip a stone then say they meant to just throw it in the water.
Men get out of their cars flick each other off get back in their cars.
Men drink then stop drinking then stay stopped.
Men water the lawn yawn.
Men order men to die for the men who died before them.
Men remember driving up into the mountains never down.
Men look up from their phones at their children.
Men carry their girlfriends shrieking into the surf.
Men look tired look away.
Men shoot at shit call it holey.
Men tell other men what God told them to tell them.
Men wear shirts that are too small shoes that are too big.
Men know another man is there especially in the dark.
