To let go of.
It might be 1924,
He’s on the parquet floor
Of a ship in the middle of the Atlantic.
Or it might be 1974
And he’s at Studio 54,
Being ogled at by Warhol.
It doesn’t matter
That he and I are here
In 2024 because
This kid dances like
History never happened.
