In Idaho
Here in Idaho, a member of the Aryan Brotherhood was on the loose for a few days.
And nights. He disliked night for being black. But night sighed and hid him anyway.
But the dark woods were lonely.
“Moon!” he yelled. “You’re a white man! I’m fighting for us!”
But the moon didn’t answer. The moon is a hispanic woman.
“Brothers!” he yelled, turning to the stars. “Brothers!”
“Who, us? We’re Jews.”
He fell asleep in the leaves, feeling more alone than he’d ever felt in his life. When he opened his eyes, the woods were bristling with guns.
“Cops! My brothers! Don’t shoot!”
And they didn’t.
