Bath Bomb
Bath Bomb
Standing in line she figures she can’t afford
Not to buy the rose petal bath bomb
Cleverly placed for someone like her to see
Amongst the chocolates and travel essentials
Only three dollars for Prime members
The addicts at Civic Center pay more for heroin
A weird thing to think about she thinks
As she drops the bomb into her cart
Without consequence it needs water to detonate
But why does it embarrass her so when the kid
Her son’s age rings it up? The last thing
He must be thinking of is this boomer lady
Naked where is her son she wonders
Skating he’ll say a convenient answer
She told him she heard everything
Is laced with it now to which he said
Tell me something I don’t know
To which she said How much time do you have?
Something she’ll always regret saying
Weeks later it will seem so silly
Something she bought believing
Pleasure would always be possible
But she decides to use it because friends
Have told her she must try to relax
So she draws a hot bath then bombs it
