Anthropomorphism
We have a way, don’t we, of making
The mountains stand for something?
The sea can’t simply be the sea,
But must come to shore penitentially.
We put a man in the moon long before
We put one on it. I blame poets, for
Whom nothing is enough on its own.
Just try not to see a face in this stone.
